Every package in the AUR is made from a volunteer who decided to put together a git package with a script that automates installing something. Yay is just a program that does the "heavy lifting" of installing an AUR git package. When you have time, it would be a good idea to check out the Arch wiki page about the AUR. It's also possible that happened due to something else entirely. ![]() The error you got sounds to me like an issue with either X itself or an issue with a driver it relies on. ![]() For your second question - maybe? Depending upon what was installed, it might have borked your Xorg install.
